DisplayPrep Essential vs. a regular cutting board
Why use this board instead of a regular cutting board?
It looks like a cutting board, but it's built like a piece of kitchen equipment. Here are 10 reasons it's worth it.
- 01
Room to really work
24 × 18 in of cutting surface, about twice the size of a typical kitchen board. Chop a whole meal's worth of vegetables without running out of room.
- 02
NSF-certified surface
A ½ in commercial-grade HDPE board, NSF certified for food contact: the same kind of material professional kitchens rely on.
- 03
Kind to your knives
HDPE is forgiving on blades, so it won't dull your knives prematurely the way glass, stone or bamboo boards can.
- 04
Never slides, never scratches
Four silicone feet grip the counter, so there's no more damp towel under the board and no scratched countertops.
- 05
Carry it by the handles
Two carry handles let you lift the whole board, prep and all, to the stove, the grill or the table without spilling.
- 06
Stays flat and supported
The board is mounted on an extruded aluminum frame that supports it and keeps it from sagging, even under heavy carving.
- 07
Nothing to catch your blade
Every screw is countersunk flush with the surface, so there's nothing to nick a knife edge or trap food.
- 08
Easy to clean and sanitize
Warm soapy water for everyday cleaning. A little kitchen bleach on a cloth lifts stains, and there's no oiling or special care like a wooden board needs.
- 09
Built to last
A thick board, a solid aluminum frame and stainless hardware, handmade and backed by a 1-year warranty.
- 10
Handmade in the USA
Every board is built by hand in Tamarac, Florida, and ships within 72 hours.

Care & maintenance
Look after your board and it will serve you for years
Never put hot pots or pans on the board
The cutting surface is polyethylene. Heat above 150°F melts and permanently warps it. Keep it away from hot pots, pans, ovens, grills and stovetops. Warranty doesn't cover heat damage.
The board
- Wash with warm water, dish soap and a cloth or scrubbing sponge.
- It's too large for a home dishwasher, so wash it by hand.
- For stains, wipe on a little kitchen bleach with a cloth, wipe it off, then rinse and wash with soap and water.
- Any cleaner approved for kitchen use is fine.
- Avoid hard knocks on the edges and corners, which can dent the board for good.
- Knife marks build up with use. That's normal for any cutting board.
